About departure/exit date

Unread postby Marios » Sat Mar 01, 2014 2:54 pm

Hello!
I was filling my data for a Vietnam visa on arrival in your web, and I wanted to ask you about the departure information. We will arrive Vietnam by airport and will depart by land to Cambodia, but we don´t know the exact day we will do it. Is there any problem or fee to pay for leaving before the written day?
Thank you very much

You can arrive and depart from Vietnam within the given period in the visa approval letter.
Eg: your visa validity from 20 May to 20 Jun. you can arrive on 25 May and exit Vietnam any time before 20 Jun.
Please note: for visa on arrival you have to enter Vietnam by air. If you enter Vietnam by land you have to get visa before. No visa on arrival at land border entrance. You can exit Vietnam at any border gates: airport, land, sea.

You do not need to know the exact date of arrival. Just give us the estimated date.
We will arrange 1 month visa so you can arrive and exit within the given period.
Please note that you can only get visa on arrival, at Vietnam airport if you go to Vietnam by air. If you go by land, you have to get visa stick into your passport in advance.

Hi, I am going to Vietnam this summer, My flight arrives at HCMC the 31 of July, and this day I will take another flight with a different company to go to Myanmar for some days, I go back to Vietnam the 12th of August. My question is, visa is valid for 30 days in a row? or it is only important the days that you are in Vietnam?

Good morning,
Thanks for your interest in our travel services.
The visa will be valid in 30 days. It is not important how many days you stay in Vietnam

Hello,
A few days ago I gave my passport to an agency in Kampot, Cambodia, in order to get a 30-day Vietnam visa valid from the date I wish to enter.
Today I came to get my passport back, and when I checked the visa stamp, I saw that the validity dates are 18/2-17/3 - which is clearly not what I asked for - it reduced my stay time by 5 days.
After some arguing and demanding a partial refund (because I'll need to do visa extension in order to stay 1 month as planned), the lady called another agent, who explained to me in very fluent English that my Vietnam visa will start ticking from the day of actual entry - not from the day of validity written on the stamp.
That raised my suspicion, because it clearly negated everything I've read on the internet - that you can only stay in Vietnam between the visa validity dates. According to what she said, I can freely enter Vietnam in the next month or so, and get full 30 days from the moment of entry.
So the question is, is she lying to me, or that's how it actually works?
If what she said is wrong, I'll need some solid documentation about visa validity, so I can show her and demand a refund.
(I have a receipt for their service stating my requested date of entry - 23/2 - so I have a very solid base for demanding a refund).
Thanks ahead,
Ullit

You can not enter and exit Vietnam out of the given period in your Vietnam visa.
