We have not arrived in Vietnam yet because of the storm. Is our Visa still good to arrive in Hanoi even though the date for the Visa is different than for the day we arrive? We maybe arrive later this week. Please let me know if all is good with our Visa. Thank you

Yes, you can use the visa approval letter within the given dates. Please note that the Officer at airport issue your visa within the given dates only.

Can the officer at the airport approve for different dates because we arrive only on Nov. 15 because of the typhoon. We maybe in Vietnam until Dec 15. if possible.

No, in case you want to stay more than the date granted in the approval letter, you have to apply for a new one.

You can give us esitmated time. We will arrange an aproval letter within the date given. You can enter and exit Vietnam within that date.
Eg: you plan to visit Vietnam in May but have no exact date. Your estimated date is 3 May (Maybe later). We will arrange a visa approval letter form 3 May to 3 June. You can go to Vietnam within the period and you have to exit Vietnam by 3 June.

Hi there,
I know there is already many questions on Vietnamese Visas but my problem is quite specific and I think some of you could help me.
I am planning a 6 week long trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. I don't know when my exact date of arrival in Vietnam will be.
The application form requests a specific entry date. My question is if I put an estimated date of arrival will it be alright if I arrive any time after that date or do I need to arrive on an exact date wrote on the form ??

Please see the answer by Vietvis, surely you can enter and exit Vietnam within your estimated dates.
