Visa on arrival to enter Vietnam

Unread postby Ian » Mon Nov 10, 2014 9:00 am

Hello all,
I'm a US citizen that will be flying into Ho Chi Minh City on Dec 8.
I heard that the visa upon arrival process is very simple and cheap. However, I heard that there are numerous travel agencies that scam you.
Do any US citizens who have used visa upon arrival to enter Vietnam have a safe and trustworthy travel agency that they can steer me towards?
Greatly appreciated,
Ian

We recommend https://www.vietnam-visa-service.com/information/ with service provided by Tuan Linh Travel, a legal and compete Vietnam tour operator.

I am a Canadian Citizen living in Toronto wanting to visit Vietnam, Ho-chi-minh city in Dec. and want to apply for my Vietnam visa. The Embassy however is in Ottawa and I prefer not to send my passport my mail. I am wondering how authentic are the websites that claim that you can apply for a visa which will be available on arrival, however, in the meanwhile they will send me a letter by email which should allow me to board my flight.
I would appreciate an answer.
Thank you.

Vietnam visa on arrival is not new. It has been launched by Vietnam Government to promote tourism. We recommend https://www.vietnam-visa-service.com/information/ with service provided by Tuan Linh Travel, a legal and compete Vietnam tour operator.

Whats the situation with obtaining a visa to enter vietnam on a holiday travelling from Australia? Is it just "visa on arrival" like thailand or do I need to apply beforehand? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Vietnam visa on arrival is different, you have to get your visa approved before. Travel companies can help you to get Vietnam visa approval letter. With the letter, airlines will allow you to get boarding and you can get visa on arrival at Vietnam airport.

WE have recently arranged for a 3 week trip to southeast Asia. One of the countries we will be visiting is Vietnam where I understand that I need to get an entrance visa PRIOR to arrival in the country. we are 5 people in our group and one of the member had to get a new passport. We will be leaving soon!!!!! How can we expedite getting a VISA? We live 30 minutes outside of Miami Florida.
Should we contact the consulate directly? Their offices are closed today but the website seems to indicate that they have a 2 or 3 day turnover time. Do I need an overpriced travel service to complete this process? I figure there are a lot of experienced travelers here that may be able to assist me!
THANKS!!!

Apply online through a Vietnam travel agency is the best way. Just stay at home, information require is not more than in the first page of your passport. You can get visa approval letter in 2 working hours. Getting visa on arrival at Vietnam airport is ease and quick.
