We will be in Luang Prabang before flying to Danang via Hanoi. Is it possible to get the Vietnam Visa in Luang Prabang ? We only have less than 2 Hrs to change flights in Hanoi, and was thinking that was cutting it a bit fine.

Yes, you can get visa at Vietnam airport, much easier and cheaper than getting visa in advance, at Embassy. For visa on arrival, the fees for 1 month single entry visa (no specific day visa) are $17 (service fee to get your visa approved); $25 for visa stamping fee. For visa getting in advance at Embassy, they never discloses the fee, you have to go there, apply and get the charge.
